Adult Basic Education (ABE)

This course is designed to assist English-speaking adults in basic reading, writing, mathematics, and everyday life skills. This program will prepare students for the General Educational Development (GED®) exam. Please call 860.687.2000 ext. 1273 for further information.

In-person registration is mandatory for new and returning students. Students may be required to take a math and/or reading appraisal for class placement. Registration can be done on:

  • September 8, 9, 10 or 13-16, from 9–11 AM
  • September 8 or 15, from 6–8 PM

Registration is held at the Windsor Board of Education (601 Matianuck Avenue in Windsor), Room 8. Please use the main entrance. Masks required.


Fall 2021 Schedule

Morning Class: ABE/GED®/ESL Computer Lab

  • Thursdays only, from 9–11:00 AM
  • Starts September 30
  • Class runs for 10 weeks

Afternoon Class: ABE

  • Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from noon–2:30 PM
  • Starts September 20, 21, 22
  • Class runs for 12 weeks
